Roger was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina. His senior year in high school he was fortunate to have Maggie who would become his soul mate move to Mount Airy. They started dating just before the school year was over and dated during college, marrying after graduation and settling in Raleigh, NC.  They have two sons and two grandchildren.

 

He was raised in the Baptist Church and was a Methodist before moving to Pinehurst in 2003. Roger had different career paths before retiring from commercial real estate in 2011. At CPC in addition to serving as an Elder he has been active in Stephen Ministry and small group ministry.

 

He received two years of training as a lay pastor through the Coastal Carolina Presbytery and was commissioned by the Presbytery as a Commissioned Ruling Elder in 2012. He has served CPC as a ministry associate since January 2013. His passion lies in small group ministry.
